Pastor Appreciation Cards

October was Pastor Appreciation Month so I made the cards for our Pastor and his wife.  I found some poems on the web and used them as the focal point of the card.  Hope you enjoy them!

Have a great day and God Bless!!!!

My Grandson's Birthday Card

My grandson turned SIX on August 16th.  I did a Pinterest inspired birthday card for him.  Of course I did my own little twist but the inspiration came from Pinterest.  I just love looking and getting ideas there.
I made good use of my Cricut for the card and dug out a very old punch for the candle flame.  This was pretty quick and I loved it for a kids birthday.

Of course tis is the front of the card.  All the papers came from A Muse Studio and you can visit my website to order if you would like.

This is the inside of the card.  I used a stamp from Verses stamps.  I have had it a long time but you can still get it.  It is great for any birthday card.  The star is a die cut from A Muse as well as the paper.

Hope you enjoyd the card!
         God Bless!!!!

Cascading Card

I have been browsing a lot of Pinterest Ideas and came across the Cascading Cards.  I had to try it so I thought I would share what I did.  I think it turned out really great.

I went to You Tube and did a search for the cards and found a couple of videos.  They did help a lot  but I also wrote our some intructions of the way I did it.  The instructions are for the base of the card only.  You can do any type of embelllishments that you like.

Here are the instructions:

Cascading Card

1-8”x12” Cardstock

Embellishments as desired

Score the cardstock at 2”, 4”, 6”, 8” and 10”

Across the 8” sides; mark the top at 5 ½” and the bottom at 2 ½”.  Place in paper trimmer lining up the two marks and cut.  The cardstock will be cut at an angle.  Mark the wider end of the cardstock at 2 ¾” and the shorter edge at 1 ¼”.  Using a ruler to line up the two marks; make a dot on the 2”, 6” and 10” score lines.  You will do this on both pieces of cardstock.  On one piece cut up to the dot cutting along the straight edge of the cardstock.  Do the same on the other piece of cardstock but cutting along the slanted edge.  Put the two pieces together and fold on the scored lines.   Decorate at desired.

What a Slacker

I just popped over to this blog to see when I posted last.  Are you kidding me?  January 1st!!!!  Time sure does get away from you when you are having fun.

Most of the last 6 months was consumed with Chairing our local Relay for Life for Hamilton.  The event took place June 2-3.  We had a great turn out and have raised around $71,000 for The American Cancer Society.  We have already started planning the event for 2013.

This past week we had VBS at my church.  I was the VBS Director so that kept me hopping also.  Yesterday morning I was whipped.  I was so tired.  I am still recuperating.

Now for the rest of the summer I plan to have some "Me" time.  I want to read, relax and just enjoy the summer.  We will see how that turns out.

I guess I should take some pictures of some of the things I have made and share them.  Maybe I will get that off my list this week. Until then I just want to say Hi and Sorry I haven't been around!

BTW...since I want to do some reading.....shoot me some ideas of some good books.

Have a Blessed Day,

Happy New Year

Can you believe it is alreadyt 2012?  Where did 2011 go?  We can all sit back and reflect on the past year and decide where we want life to take us.  As I sit back and look I feel I have been very blessed.  As with everyone, I have had my share of ups and downs with life but in the big scheme of things life has been good.  I am ready to move on.
One of the first things I did was clean my stamp table off.  I am ready to start again.  As many of you know I used to sell for The Angel Company until they closed their doors in August 2011.  I went through all of those stamps and kept some of the ones I just love BUT I boxed a lot up to get rid of to make room for the new.  I joined A•Muse Studios a couple days after The Angel Company closed their doors.  I felt like I need to move to so I took the plunge.  Anyway there stamps are packaged differently so I had to go from CD racks to a DVD rack.  Below are the pictures of what I did the past couple of days.
This is my craft table that I cleaned least the best I could.  There are some things that just have to sit on my table...LOL
This is my DVD rack.  I actually purchased it at The Goodwill Store back in October but just got around the changing racks.  Since I don't own tons of A•Muse stamps I put some of my TAC stamps on the bottom shelf.  The shelf next to the bottom has my dies and nestibilities.  The shelf above has a couple Cricut cartridges and retired A•Muse stamps.  The top shelf is my measly supply of A•Muse stamps.  I plan on adding to that collection when the new catalog goes life February.

Hopefully I will find some time to get creative.  Check my other blog also which has a link at the top of this page.  I post my A•Muse creations there.

Enjoy your New Year.  Stay Safe and Be Healthy!!!!
