Perfect Sentiments...CASE this CARD

This is my last week as Guest Designer for Perfect Sentiments.  It has been a pleasure doing this.  I hope everyone has enjoyed visiting and will continue to visit Perfect Sentiments

The sponsor for this week's challenge is The Digital Emporium of Paper Expressions.  The winner will get their choice of three digital images that are shown on that page. Be sure to check them out even if you don't win.

For this week's challenge we are asking that you CASE our CARD.  How easy is that?  If you don't know what casing a card is...it is to duplicate that card.  Take the idea and run with it.  Show us what you can do.

Now I guess I better show you the card.  I did a Winter Card.  I figure we all should be working on Christmas cards so I geared more toward Winter.

I actually saw a card with this similar layout in Pinterest so I had to make my own version.  Loved it.  I got the poem by searching Snowflake Poems on the web.    The cardstock, stamps, ink and ribbons are from A•Muse Studio.  Hop on over there and check out my website.

Perfect Sentiments Challenge...Sketch Week with Encouragment

This week is Sketch week at Perfect Sentiments  Sketches are always fun and it gives you an idea for your card which is half the battle.

This weeks sponsor is Pattie's Creations  A random winner will be picked to win a free digi image from her designs.  Be sure to check her out at the link above.

Here is the sketch we used for this week's challenge.

Here is my card:

I have to admit I dug out some of my old stash.  The paper came from Hobby Lobby forever ago.  I love the colors in it and thought this was a good time of year to use it.  The saying stamp is from Verses Rubber Stamps.  I have had this stamp for a good 5 or 6 years.  It is such good encourangement to remind us to laugh...even when things are down.  It is so good for you! I even got out my old Coluzzles to cut the semi-circle.  The buttons were also from my big collection of buttons.

I hope you have enjoyed the card and the sketch.  Be sure to visit Perfect Sentiments and attach your creation using the sketch to them.  You can visit the other guest designers blog and the design teams blogs by clicking on the links below.

Enjoy your visit here and on all the other blogs.  Also have a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

Dinner Last Night

I have been doing Pinterest and am loving it.  I found a recipe from someone..LOL.  Visited too many people and forgot where I got it but anyway I am going to share my version.  It is called Pizza Casserole.  The original recipe I found had noodles, ground beef, pepperoni, pizza sauce and cheese.  Here is a picture of my casserole after it was baked.  The pepperoni looks sparse on there but it covered the casserole before baking.  The recipe is below the picture.

Pizza Casserole:

1 Jar Ragu Pizza Sauce
1 Bag Noodles
1/2 Bag Pepperoni, sliced
1 1/2 pkgs. shredded cheese...I used Pizza Cheese
1 lb. bulk Italian Sausage
1 small bell pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped

Brown Italian Sausage making sure to crumble well.  Drain!  Cook noodles according to package directions.  Drain!  Cover the bottom of 9" x 13" pan with some of the pizza sauce.  Layer part of the sausage on top of sauce.  Layer part of the noodles, part of the pepperoni, onions, bell pepper and part of the cheese and the rest of the pizza sauce.  Now layer rest of the noodles, sausage and cheese.  Layer the rest of the pepperoni on top of the cheese.  Cover and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.  Remove cover and continue baking for 15 minutes.  Remove from oven and let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.  Goes great with garlic bread sticks!  Hope you enjoy!

Perfect Sentiments Challenge: Baby Card with Stitching

This week at Perfect Sentiments we are doing Baby Themes using some kind of stitching.  It can be done on a machine or some type of faux stitching.  I chose to use my machine.  As you can see I am not always straight.  That is where "It is handmade" comes in.  I use that a lot.  If it is to be perfect you may want to check at Hallmark or a comparable card store.  I personally like the character of handmade cards.

Now onto the challenge details.  Our sponsor this week is Cindy Coutts.  You can check her out here.  She will be giving away a mini Stampin' Up! Set called Something for Christmas.  Sorry I don't have a picture of it to show you.  Cindy is also doing a series called "The Twelve Days of Christmas".  It is a tutorial on different holiday crafts.  Be sure to check her out and see all the different things she is doing.  Just go to her blog and get all of the details.

Now onto my baby card.  I used an old stamp from The Angel Company.  Some of you may not know that I used to be an angel with them and loved selling their stuff.  I was sorry to see them close their doors the end of August.  I have now joined A•Muse Studio.  I also used paper from Nana's Kids paper collection.  It was a fun card to make.  I hope you enjoy it.

Be sure and check out Perfect Sentiments and see what the other guest designer and Design Team has done this week.  You can also click on the blogs of everyone below:

Have a good week and give the challenge a try.  We will see you again next Wednesday for another idea and challenge.  Enjoy!!!!

Perfect Sentiments Challenge with Robyn's Fetish Digi Stamps

A week has already passed and it is time for another Perfect Sentiments Challenge.  Today we are using digi stamps from Robyn's Fetish Digi Stamps.  You need to go to her store and check out her digi's.  What fun it was to do something with one of them.
Robyn is our proud sponsor this week.  The winner will be awarded 5 Robyn's Fetish digital stamps as a prize for being in the challenge. These will be items that the winner chooses.  How  cool is that?
Besided using one of Robyn's digi stamps we also used a picture for inspiration.  Here is the picture that was used.

Don't you just love the colors?  Since it is November I decided to go with a Fall theme.  I hope you enjoy the card I did.

I started my card with a 6" x 6" card base.  I attached the ribbon using Scor-Tape.  I "ruffled" the ribbon by pleating it and adhering to the scor-tape.  I also used a smaller piece of ribbon across the card for accent.  I colored the digi stamp with Copic Markers...which I love.  I added a small silk flower for embellishments to give the card some life.  The stamps I used were from A•Muse Studio.

I hope you will take this opportunity to visit Perfect Sentiments Challenge and also visit the other Guest Designers and the Design Team/Executive Design Team by clicking on their links below.  I'm sure you will get a lot of satisfaction and your mojo filled with ideas.

Perfect Sentiments Challenge Thanksgiving with Brads or Eyelets

I am happy to announce that I am a guest Designer for the Month of November with Perfect Sentiments Challenge.  I will be posting a new challenge every Wednesday this month.  Be sure to stop by and see what is going on and join in.

We have a great sponsor this month.  It is Stacey's Creative Corner.  You can hop on over to Perfect Sentiments Challenge to see what the prize is.

If you want to participate in the blog challenge you have until this next Tuesday by 10:00 PM EST to link up your creation to be in for the drawing of a random winneer or possibly featured on one of the Perfect 3.

Here is the card I created for this challenge.  You can be as simple as you like or very elaborate.  It is your choice.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.  Below is my design.  As you can see, mine is pretty simple.  I love simple and always try to gear my cards to the working women out there.  They don't have time to sit and stamp one card a night.

Here is a list of supplies I used.  The stamps ink, twine and cardstocks are from A•Muse Studio  The link will take you to my website for ordering if you like what you see.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the brown cardstock, the lacey nestie for the circle around the wheat and copper brads.
Cardstock:
French Roast PAPS803
Wheat...PAPS801
Vanilla...PAPS002
Stamp Set:
Bounty of the Season  SNSF064
Cord:

Ink:

Again I hope you have enjoyed what you saw and I hope you can participate in the challenge.  You have almost a week to make your creations and link them up.

Happy Stamping!!!!
